Daring Boulder is a bouldering area in California's San Bernardino National Forest, within the San Jacinto Ranger District. It sits on Forest Service land and is part of a cluster of climbing spots in this corner of the forest, with Central Basin and Transmaniacon Boulder both about a tenth of a mile away. The area is a bouldering destination rather than a route with a set climb. Its seven routes run the gamut from the V0 of Problem B AKA Boneheads Slab Right to the V10 of Buzzsaw. The most common grade is V5, and the boulders include a few with a touch of history: Where Boneheads Dare was first ascended by John Long in 1975, and Where Rugheads Dare dates back to the 1970s. Black Mountain (San Bernardino) is about a mile off for an overnight stay, and Seven Pines and the Nature Trail are both within about two miles. For more time on the water, San Jacinto - Santa Rosa Mountains Recreation Area is roughly six miles away.
