Boy Scout Wall is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Barstow Field Office, about 20 miles from Victorville, California. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, so it makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the area's crags. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Victorville weather station show April highs around 73°F and October highs near 79°F. That station sits roughly 900 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures here run cooler. Summer is hot, with July highs around 98°F. Several climbing areas lie right next to the wall, including Crossfire Crag, Lethal Rock, Box Canyon East and Fantasy Island. Sawtooth Canyon Campground is about 0.4 miles away for an overnight stay.
