Bowling Pin Boulder is a climbing area in the White Mountain Ranger District of Inyo National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The closest neighbors are Tut Boulder and Buttermilk Stem Boulder, each about 0.1 mile away, which makes it easy to pair this spot with another boulder problem in a single visit. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Huntington Lake weather station, about 36 miles away, show July and August highs around 74°F with lows near 49°F and only a day or two of wet weather each month.
