Awol Tower is a climbing area in the Lower Trinity Ranger District of Six Rivers National Forest in California. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with New Earth Towers and Cream Tower each about 0.1 mile away. The area has six routes, five of them sport and one trad, with grades ranging from 5.7 to 5.13a. The hardest is Walk The Planck at 5.13a, and the easiest is The Zohan at 5.7. Tainted Love is the only trad route, at 5.12a. Most of the routes were first ascended by Evan Wisheropp, and Walk The Planck was done by him and Jordan Manzanares. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cecilville show May highs around 75°F and October highs around 70°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits well below the tower, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. Nearby, Campbell Creek and Supply Creek offer canoeing about 2.5 miles away, and the Hot Lap Trail and Lacks Mountain Trail are hikes roughly 3.3 to 3.4 miles off.
