2-Second Tier is a climbing area in El Capitan Preserve, on county land in California. It sits among several other climbing areas, including Bastion, Grey Pillar and Wing, The, all about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable conditions. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Alpine show May highs around 74°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s.
