Inspiration Point is a mountain biking route in California's Stanislaus National Forest, within the Calaveras Ranger District. It rises from a low point of 7,331 feet to a high point of 7,897 feet over a distance of about 0.68 miles, with a total elevation gain of 543 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dagget Pass, Nevada, show July highs around 75°F with lows near 49°F, and only about one or two wet days a month from June through September. That station sits roughly 560 feet below the route, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Lakeshore Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Lake Alpine Recreation Area is about 0.2 mile off. Pine Marten and Silver Valley campgrounds are each about 0.4 mile away.
