Shriner Lake is an easy, short hike in California's Mokelumne Wilderness, on the Amador Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest. The trail is 1.2 miles long, with a low point of 6,806 feet and a high of 6,897 feet, and it's an out-and-back. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land. Horses are allowed, and the trail surface is natural. Bikes are not. The trip is open year-round, and the route is easy enough to fit into a longer day in the wilderness. The most comfortable months are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show June highs around 72°F with lows near 38°F, and July and August highs around 80°F with only about two wet days a month. Shriner Lake Campground sits about 0.4 miles away, and the Tanglefoot hike is about 0.6 miles off. Cole Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 0.9 miles away. Bear River Group Campground is roughly 3.2 miles away.
