Grand National is an easy out-and-back hike of about 2.2 miles in the Weaverville Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest in northern California. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated easy with a one-way climb of about 326 feet, from a low point of about 5,056 feet to a high of about 5,398 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows horses. Bikes are not permitted. Two other hikes sit about 0.8 miles away: Tangle Blue Lake Trail and Grand National Mine Trail. For an overnight stay, Scott Mountain campground is about 3.7 miles off, and Horse Flat Campground is about 4.5 miles away.
