Cane Meadow is a hard hike in the Kern River Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest, about 8 miles from the district's ranger headquarters. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 4,075 feet to about 6,544 feet, with a total gain of roughly 2,556 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Bartolas sits just 0.1 mile away, and True Meadow is about 1.4 miles off. Climbers can head to Church Domes, about 4.6 miles away, and anglers will find Kern River Ranger District river fishing about 7 miles out.
