Willow Creek Campground is a small, low-key Forest Service site in the Big Valley Ranger District of Modoc National Forest in northern California. It has eight campsites, and the Forest Service describes it as a place that is easy to find, easy to navigate in and out with small trailers and motor homes, and never full. A tiny creek runs between the campground and the day use picnic area, and shade trees help muffle the sounds of the highway. The water system is non-potable and posted with a boil order. Vault toilets are the only restroom facility. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Adin show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 83°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s. The closest town is Adin, about 14 miles away.
