Minersville Campground is a Forest Service campground on the shores of Trinity Lake in the Weaverville Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest, about 0.1 mile from the Minersville Boat Ramp and near the Bushytail campground. It sits in a stand of mixed conifers and deciduous trees, and the lake arm close by is a popular spot for waterskiing. The campground has two distinct sections. The first is well developed, with paved, level parking aprons and amenities. The second is walk-in only, with six campsites (five single, one double) and a more primitive, natural feel. It also has campsites right next to the lakeshore. There are two accessible campsites, two single campsites and three double campsites. Bear-proof containers are available. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Weaverville show May highs around 77°F and September highs around 88°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. Bushytail Cg-G and Clark Springs Cg-F are both within half a mile. The Trinity Lakeshore hike is about 1.7 miles away, and the Granite Peak hike is about 3 miles away.
