Lower Nye is a Forest Service campground in the Upper Lake Ranger District of Mendocino National Forest in California. No fees are required to use the site, which makes it an easy base for exploring the surrounding trails and waterways. Several trails start within a couple of miles. The Lower Nye Trail is about 1.4 miles away, the Copper Butte Trail about 1.5 miles, and the Skeleton Glade Trail about 1.6 miles. Paddlers can head to Cold Creek, roughly 2.6 miles off, or to Anderson Creek, about 4.8 miles away. For more camping, the Sunset and Oak Flat campgrounds lie within about 7 miles.
