Domingo Springs is a developed campground in California's Lassen National Forest, on the Almanor Ranger District. It has 18 designated sites, each with a campfire ring and table. The Forest Service manages the land, and the local Maidu people called the spot the "center of the universe." The Pacific Crest Trail passes within half a mile, and the nearby Domingo Spring supplies drinkable water. The station at Chester, about 7 miles away, sits roughly 670 feet below the campground, so temperatures at the springs run cooler than the station's figures. Summer is the driest stretch, with typical July highs around 86°F and lows near 48°F, and only a couple of wet days a month from June through September. Winter brings highs in the low 40s and snow on several days a month from December through February. Vault toilets are the only onsite amenity, and a fee is charged. Warner Creek Campground is about 2 miles away, and High Bridge is a little over 2.6 miles off. Climbers can head to The Loading Zone, about 3 miles away, and the Terminal Geyser Trail is roughly 4.6 miles from the springs.
