Ackerman Cg-F is a Forest Service campground on the shores of Lewiston Lake in the Weaverville Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest, about eight miles north of Lewiston on County Road 105 and 20 miles from Weaverville. It sits on the water's edge, offers beautiful scenery and is a favorite of fishermen. Each site has tables and a grill/fire ring. The most comfortable months are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 76°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. Flush toilets are among the amenities. A fee is charged. Ackerman Campground is about 0.1 mile away, and the Lewiston Lakeshore hike is about 0.3 mile off. Cooper Gulch Cg-F and Mariner's Roost Cg-F are both within about 4 miles.
