West Beach Trail is a beach within Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California, about 0.8 miles from the town of Moss Beach. Late summer into early fall is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Half Moon Bay weather station show highs around 66°F in August and September, with only six or seven wet days a month, while winter months bring highs near 59°F and about 13 to 14 wet days. Several short hikes start close by. Ross' Cove Trail is about 0.4 miles away, Jean Lauer Trail about 0.5 miles, and Pillar Point Bluff Trail about 0.7 miles. Farther out, the Farmer's Daughter Trail is about 1.4 miles away.
