Stairway to Beach (Linda Way) is a public ocean beach in California, about 8.6 miles from San Diego. As the name suggests, a stairway at Linda Way leads down to the sand, and there is no fee to visit. Summer and early fall bring the warmest conditions, with typical highs in the low 70s °F in July through September and almost no wet days, based on averages from a nearby weather station at San Diego SeaWorld. Winter stays mild, with highs in the low to mid 60s and about seven wet days a month from December through February.
