Rockaway Beach
About
Rockaway Beach is a public ocean beach on the California coast, about a mile from the town of Pacifica. It has restrooms and accessible access, and there is no fee to visit. The driest stretch runs from June through September, when a nearby weather station typically records only one or two wet days a month and highs around 69 to 72°F. Winter stays mild, with typical highs near 58 to 60°F and no snow, though wet days climb to about 11 a month in January and February. The beach makes a good base for exploring this stretch of coast. The Pacifica Headlands climbing area sits just 0.3 miles away, the Bluff Trail is half a mile off, and the Coastal Trail and Old Mori Road for mountain biking are both within a mile.
