Gualala Point Regional Park
About
Gualala Point Regional Park is a public beach in California, about half a mile from the town of Gualala, within the Gualala Point land unit. It's an easy place to reach for a stop on the coast, with restrooms and accessible access on site. The weather stays mild all year. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs in the upper 50s in December and January, with lows around 42°F. Spring brings highs near 60°F. The warmest stretch runs from August through October, when highs reach the mid to upper 60s and lows sit in the upper 40s to around 50°F. Even at the peak of summer, average highs stay under 70°F, so a layer is worth bringing in any month. A fee is charged to use the park. Dogs are allowed, which makes it a good option for visitors traveling with pets. Several trails lie a few miles away, including the Chapel Trail at about 3 miles and the Wild Moor Meadow Trail at about 3.4 miles. Paddlers can head to the North Fork Gualala River, roughly 5 miles off, or to Buckeye Creek, about 8 miles away.
