Del Mar Shores Terrace Stairway is a public ocean beach in California, about a mile from Solana Beach. There is no fee to visit. Summer and early fall are the warmest times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs around 76°F in August and September, with only a day or two of rain a month from June through September. Several short hikes sit within a couple of miles, including the Salt Marsh Bird View trail and the Solana Hills Trail, both about 1.5 miles away, and the Crest Canyon Trail at about 1.7 miles. For climbing, the Beacons Beach area is roughly 6 miles off.
