Coon Creek Beach
About
Coon Creek Beach is a public ocean beach on the California coast, within the San Luis Obispo Unit and about 5 miles from the town of Los Osos. There is no fee to visit, and dogs are not allowed. Late summer into fall is the most settled time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs around 72°F in September and October with little rain, while winter months bring highs near 65°F and more wet days. The beach sits close to several trails. Bluff Trail and Point Buchon Trail are both within a third of a mile, and Coon Creek Trail is about 0.6 miles away. For an overnight stay, Morro Bay State Park Campground is roughly 8 miles off.
