Hunchback Pinnacle is a climbing area in the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Windy Point East, Wind Wall and Big Pine Towers - East Face all about 0.1 mile away. The area has six routes, five of which are sport and one is trad. Grades run from 5.7+ up to 5.12a/b. The Hunchback Route is the trad option, and the hardest is Green Ripper. The sport routes include Danglefoot Dihedral at 5.10c and Steve's Arete at 5.11a. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 68°F, with lows near 50°F. That station sits about 500 feet lower than the pinnacle, so temperatures on the rock run a little cooler. Nearby, Bug Springs offers mountain biking about 0.9 mile away, and Rose Canyon Lake is about 1.5 miles off. Gordon Hirabayashi Campground and Rose Canyon campground are both about 1.9 miles away.
