Boulder E is a bouldering area in the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Boulder C and the Rose Canyon Entrance Boulders each about 0.1 mile away, and Rose Canyon campground about 0.2 mile off. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated between V1 and V3 on the V scale. The easiest is Slab 1 at V1, and the hardest is South Side Mantle at V3. The Right Arete and Left Arete are both V1+ and V2, and Slab 2 runs V1-2. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 68°F, with lows near 50°F. That station sits about 166 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock may run slightly cooler. Other nearby options include the Mojo Wall and Branching Out Crag, about 0.2 mile away, and the Incinerator Ridge mountain biking trail, about 0.4 mile away.
