General Hitchcock is a Forest Service campground in the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the site has vault toilets. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 71°F and 75°F. That station sits about 1,000 feet below the campground, so temperatures at the site run cooler. The campground sits close to several other outdoor spots.
