Bog Springs is a Forest Service campground in the Nogales Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in southern Arizona, about 10 miles from the town of Nogales. It sits at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains, where high grasslands, oak woodlands and conifer forest meet. The Dutch John and Bog Springs trails start right at the campground, so it works as a base for exploring the surrounding slopes and woods. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 79°F, while July and August average in the low 90s and bring the most wet days of the year. Vault toilets are the only facility listed, and a fee is charged for stays. The Dutch John trail is just 0.1 mile away, and the Bog Springs Connector Trail #156A is 0.2 mile off. Kent Springs Cabin is 0.7 mile away, and the Madera Nature trail is 0.6 mile away.
