Natural Arch
About
Natural Arch is a natural rock arch in Yuma County, Arizona, inside the Kofa Wilderness within Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service manages the land, and the nearest town is La Paz Valley, about 16 miles away. Winter through early spring is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Kofa Mine weather station, 11 miles away, show January highs of 67°F and lows of 49°F, with March highs around 76°F. Summer highs there top 100°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the arch, so temperatures at the arch run somewhat cooler. Two hikes lie close by: Signal Peak Trail is about 5 miles away, and Palm Canyon Trail is about 7 miles off.
