Central Campus is a bouldering area in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, about half a mile from the town of Riverside Circle. It sits within the city's campus network, with the Tuscaloosa UA Campus just 0.2 miles away and the North - Dorms and East - Bryce Lawn and Beyond areas within a mile. The spot is a compact cluster of boulder problems, and its location makes it easy to pair with other climbing and walking on campus. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Northport show October highs around 78°F with lows near 53°F, while July and August average highs near 92°F. That station sits a few dozen feet lower than the campus, so temperatures at the boulders may run slightly cooler. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated from V1- to V3. Among them are Cadet Corps Backside at V1-, Senioritis at V2, and Curve Pls at V3. The Tuscaloosa City Walk is 1.3 miles away for a short walk, and Holt Lake offers fishing about 6 miles out.
