Snowden Drive is an easy, short hike in Alabama, set about a mile from the town of Andalusia. It is an out-and-back walk that rises just over 20 feet from a low point of 314 feet to a high of 340 feet, with the steepest stretch coming about 0.6 miles in at a grade of 2 percent. The route is about 1.6 miles long, and the whole trip takes roughly half an hour. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Andalusia show October highs around 79°F with lows near 53°F and only about five wet days, while April runs similarly mild with highs near 78°F. Church Street is the closest nearby trail, about 0.3 miles away, and Moore Road and Pinewood Road are each within about a mile. Paddlers can head to Five Runs Creek, about 4.5 miles off.
