Motutere

Motutere is a mountain in Waikato, New Zealand, with its summit at about 5,400 ft (1,646 m) above sea level. It stands inside Kaimanawa Forest Park. Mapped trails that come within about half a mile of the top include Thunderbolt Track. The nearest town is Tūrangi, about 14 miles south of the summit. Peaks within about 3 miles include Karikaringa, Tara o te Marama and Thunderbolt. For camping, Urchin Campsite and Freedom Camping for Self Contained Vehicles are within about 6 miles.
