Alps 2 Ocean Track

Alps 2 Ocean Track is an out-and-back mountain bike trail in Canterbury, New Zealand. It is 4.7 miles each way, 9.4 miles there and back. It runs between about 1,740 ft and 1,830 ft above sea level, with roughly 690 ft of climbing one way. It is rated easy for riding (mtb:scale 0): a smooth surface with no particular obstacles. Most of the way is gravel. The nearest town is Twizel, about 5.8 miles northeast of the start. For camping, Lake Pukaki Camping Area and Lake Wardell are within about 6 miles.
