Okarea is a mountain in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, with its summit at about 1,480 ft (451 m) above sea level. It stands inside Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park. Mapped trails that come within about half a mile of the top include Arahaki Lagoon Track and Waiatiu Falls Track. The nearest town is Minginui, about 3.6 miles southwest of the summit.
