Besseggen is a mountain in Innlandet, Norway, with its summit at about 5,370 ft (1,638 m) above sea level. It stands inside Jotunheimen nasjonalpark. Mapped trails that come within about half a mile of the top include Gjendesheim-Besseggen-Memurubu, Jo-stigen and Memurubu – Gjendesheim. The nearest town is Beitostølen, about 19 miles north of the summit. Peaks within about 3 miles include Veslfjellet, Besshøe and Knutshøe.
