Mt. Baker National Forest

Mt. Baker National Forest spans nearly 282,000 acres across Washington, offering diverse recreation on public land managed by the Forest Service. Winter transforms the forest into a snowbound landscape where conditions can be severe and many roads are closed or require chains; this season limits most recreation to lower elevations and prepared travelers.
