Cleveland National Forest

Cleveland National Forest spans over 262,000 acres across California and is managed by the U.S. Forest Service as multiple-use public land. The forest offers a variety of outdoor recreation including hiking and backpacking on numerous trails, dispersed camping throughout the landscape, fishing in streams and lakes, and scenic driving routes. Hunting is also permitted during designated seasons. The forest experiences warm, dry summers and mild winters, making spring through fall the primary visiting season. Access is straightforward from surrounding communities, and the landscape ranges from chaparral and oak woodlands to coniferous forest at higher elevations.
