Yuha Buttes

The Yuha Buttes are a small, isolated mountain range located in southeastern California, near the U.S.-Mexico border. The range is characterized by rugged, rolling hills and steep-sided buttes, formed from ancient volcanic and sedimentary rock deposits. The terrain is generally arid and sparse, with scattered desert vegetation including creosote bush, ocotillo, and barrel cactus. Despite the harsh environment, the Yuha Buttes provide habitat for a variety of desert wildlife, including bighorn sheep, coyotes, and a diversity of bird species.
