Virtue Hills

The Virtue Hills are a modest mountain range in eastern Oregon, located approximately 50 miles southwest of La Grande. Characterized by rolling hills, alpine meadows, and scattered stands of pine and fir, the Virtue Hills offer a more gentle and accessible outdoor experience compared to the rugged Cascade Range to the west. The terrain consists primarily of well-graded hiking trails winding through forested slopes and past pristine alpine lakes, providing an ideal setting for day hikes, backpacking trips, and wildlife viewing.
