Verdugo Mountains

The Verdugo Mountains are a compact mountain range located in the northeast corner of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, California. The range rises abruptly from the surrounding urban landscape, with rugged, chaparral-covered slopes and several prominent peaks. Despite their relatively modest elevation, the Verdugos offer impressive views across the valley and towards the San Gabriel Mountains to the north. The terrain features a network of hiking trails, many of which were originally developed for fire access and management purposes.
