Tungsten Hills

The Tungsten Hills are a small, rugged mountain range located in the southeastern corner of California. Characterized by steep, rocky slopes and craggy peaks, this range is part of the Transverse Ranges that run east-west across Southern California. The terrain is primarily composed of igneous and metamorphic rocks, including tungsten-bearing deposits that give the range its name. While not particularly high in elevation, the Tungsten Hills feature a dramatic, almost lunar-like landscape that provides a stark contrast to the surrounding desert environments.
