Tumey Hills

The Tumey Hills are a small but rugged mountain range located in central California, within the Panoche Hills region. This range is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and canyons, with elevations ranging from around 1,200 to 2,600 feet. The terrain is largely composed of sedimentary rock formations, including sandstone, shale, and conglomerate, resulting in a dramatic and visually striking landscape. The Tumey Hills are home to a variety of plant and animal life adapted to the area's Mediterranean climate, including chaparral, oak woodlands, and wildlife such as coyotes, raptors, and a diverse array of reptiles and invertebrates.
