Tiefort Mountains

The Tiefort Mountains are a small, rugged mountain range located in Northeastern California, near the Nevada border. The range is characterized by steep, rocky peaks and ridges, with elevations ranging from around 5,000 feet to just over 8,000 feet. The terrain is generally steep and challenging, with a mix of granite cliffs, talus slopes, and sparse vegetation. The Tiefort Mountains are part of the Basin and Range province, a geologic region known for its isolated mountain ranges separated by broad valleys.
