Sylvania Mountains

The Sylvania Mountains are a small mountain range located in the eastern part of California, near the Nevada border. The range is characterized by rugged, rocky terrain with steep slopes and numerous canyons. The mountains are part of the Basin and Range province, with an overall north-south orientation. Elevations in the range typically range from around 6,000 feet to the highest point, Mount Sylvania, which reaches 9,312 feet.
