Summit Mountains

The Summit Mountains are a rugged mountain range located in northern New Mexico. This range is characterized by steep, rocky terrain with dense coniferous forests and alpine meadows at higher elevations. The mountains were formed by volcanic activity and feature dramatic cliffs, canyons, and rocky outcroppings. The range is part of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, a larger mountain system that extends into southern Colorado.
