Skedaddle Mountains

The Skedaddle Mountains are a rugged and remote mountain range located in northeastern California, near the border with Nevada. Spanning an area of over 500 square miles, the range is characterized by steep, granite-dominated peaks, deep canyons, and vast expanses of alpine meadows and subalpine forests. The terrain is generally quite challenging, with numerous talus slopes, rocky outcroppings, and exposed ridgelines. Elevations range from around 5,000 feet in the foothills to over 10,000 feet at the summits of the highest peaks.
