Silurian Hills

The Silurian Hills are a small mountain range located in the Mojave Desert region of southeastern California. This remote and rugged range is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and narrow canyons carved by intermittent desert streams. The terrain is primarily composed of ancient sedimentary and volcanic rocks, creating a dramatic and arid landscape. Despite the harsh environment, the Silurian Hills support a variety of desert-adapted plant and animal life, including Joshua trees, creosote bushes, and bighorn sheep.
