Sierra Madre Mountains

The Sierra Madre Mountains are a rugged mountain range located in southern California, primarily within the San Bernardino National Forest. The range extends for over 100 miles, with steep, rocky peaks and deep, forested canyons carved by glaciers and erosion. The terrain is characterized by granite cliffs, alpine meadows, and numerous crystal-clear lakes and streams. The high elevations and varied ecosystems support a diverse array of plant and animal life, including rare and endangered species.
