Sierra de Salinas

The Sierra de Salinas is a compact mountain range located in the central coastal region of California. This rugged range is characterized by steep, rocky peaks, deeply carved canyons, and sparse vegetation. The terrain is primarily composed of metamorphic and igneous rock, with frequent outcroppings and talus slopes. Elevations range from around 2,000 feet in the foothills to over 5,700 feet at the highest summits.
