Sheep Hole Mountains

The Sheep Hole Mountains are a small, remote mountain range located in southeastern California, near the Arizona border. The range is characterized by rugged, arid terrain with steep canyon walls, rocky slopes, and scattered desert vegetation. The mountains rise abruptly from the surrounding desert, reaching elevations up to around 5,500 feet. Though the range is relatively low-lying compared to many other California mountain systems, the rocky, isolated nature of the Sheep Holes presents a challenging environment for outdoor recreation.
