Sheep Hills

The Sheep Hills are a small mountain range located in the eastern region of California, nestled within the Sierra Nevada mountain system. This range features rugged, granite-dominated terrain with steep slopes, rocky outcroppings, and a number of glacier-carved valleys. The landscape is characterized by sparse vegetation, with patches of hardy alpine flora and occasional groves of pine and fir trees. Due to the relatively low elevation compared to the surrounding peaks, the Sheep Hills have a more moderate climate than the high Sierra, making them accessible for outdoor recreation during much of the year.
