San Luis Mountains

The San Luis Mountains are a small, isolated mountain range located in southwestern New Mexico, near the border with Mexico. Rising abruptly from the surrounding desert and grasslands, the range is characterized by rugged, volcanic peaks and steep canyons. The highest point is the summit of Goat Mountain at 8,064 feet. The terrain features a mix of rocky, steep slopes and more gentle, forested areas, providing a varied landscape for outdoor recreation.
