San Joaquin Hills

The San Joaquin Hills are a small coastal mountain range located in Orange County, California. The range is known for its rolling hills, lush vegetation, and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. The terrain is predominantly composed of sedimentary rock, with a mix of sandstone, shale, and conglomerate formations. Elevations range from around 500 feet near the coast to just over 1,600 feet at the highest peaks. The hills are crisscrossed by a network of hiking trails, providing outdoor enthusiasts with opportunities for scenic day hikes and moderate multi-day backpacking trips.
