Sacramento Mountains

The Sacramento Mountains are a mountain range located in south-central New Mexico. This 150-mile-long range is part of the larger Capitan Mountains and features diverse terrain including rugged peaks, deep canyons, and high-elevation forests. The mountains rise abruptly from the surrounding Chihuahuan Desert, creating a striking landscape. Elevations range from around 4,500 feet at the base to over 11,500 feet at the highest point, providing a dramatic change in ecosystems and climate as you gain elevation.
